Jan 23,  · When John Grant’s second solo record, Pale Green Ghosts, was suggested to me for this project, it rang no bells, not even after giving it a cursory listen — I wasn’t familiar with The Czars, Grant’s long-defunct rock band, and his name’s a little too commonplace to really knock memories loose. And then I did a little more research on Grant, and found out that fun ’70s-rock.
